| NEW NAME
In June 2000, Salubrin/Druvan changed its name
to Dr PersFood. At the same time, the brand name,
Salubrin, acquired a new owner, enabling our company
to focus on the development of quality products within
the food sector.
Druvan, our main brand name, and the other well-known
brands such as Hultbergs and Möllers, are now all
gathered together under the name of Dr PersFood.
In spite of the fact that Dr PersFood is a growing
concern and that we intend to continue developing new
products, we would like to safeguard certain positive
elements in the company´s historic culture: for example,
the family spirit, the concern for employees and
consumers, and the care taken in production.
Our aim is to ensure that all the products which
originate here on the fertile plains of southern Sweden,
continue to carry this same stamp of caring.

IT ALL STARTED WITH SPIRIT
VINEGAR
Whilst traveling in Germany, Dr Per Håkansson
observed a method for making spirit vinegar.
He was inspired by what he saw to start his own
spirit vinegar production in Sweden. And so, with
the natural production of biological spirit vinegar
in big wooden barrels, the first foundation stone
of a flourishing food company was layed.
The year was 1874, the place was the railway
junction town of Eslöv. As a direct consequence of
the spirit vinegar manufacturing process, one of
Sweden's best known brand names, Salubrin,
also came into being.
Over the years, the company developed its profile
as a food producer. Mustard, spirit and wine vinegar
production came to form the core of the business,
and the brand name Druvan became a synonym for
quality. These days, Druvan is equally well known
among consumers as it is by the catering profession
and by others in the food production industry. |
